Here is a short list of wonderful cartoon movies that are just shown this 2011 and are expected to go down as classics in the coming years. great for family especially the children.
Kung Fu Panda 2 – The cunning “Furious Five,” are back and raring to go all-out and without let-up in a battle against the evil forces. A 3-D treat, voice cast is spearheaded by Jack black and Angelica Jolie.
Cars 2 – The fast and furious McQueen and his other car pals traveled overseas for a European spy adventure ala James Bond.
Winnie the Pooh – The funny old bear had been provided with some makeovers over the years, but this time around he’s on his usual classic old-school Disney form.
Smurfs – For your information Avatar isn’t the only 3-D movie about a blue civilization. This cartoon had now lorded it over New York and the big screen.
The blockbuster movie hit Avatar sank Titanic, this time not in the subtle ocean waters but in the box office. James Cameron’s fantastic 3-D movie which was launched few months ago outperformed and overcame his previous hit Titanic in the worldwide earnings.
The News Corp-owned Studio said, Avatar sold a whopping $1.841 billion worth of tickets globally during its reign on top in the box office for the past six weeks and it is on the verge of surpassing the $1.843 billion accumulated by the classical and truly heartwarming Titanic in 1997 to 1998.
Additionally the Avatar squeaked past “The Dark Knight” as the second biggest movie of all time. The numbers posted by Avatar earnings-wise didn’t consider adjustments for inflation, otherwise if this is being given recognition, what is dubbed as the greatest film that was produced, the 1939′s “Gone With the Wind” will reign supreme, with sales of almost $1.5 billion. Avatar will rank only number 26 using adjustment in inflation as a yardstick.
