Filipina Supermodel Wins in Ford Models Tilt
Seven new supermodels all stunning and truly graceful with their catwalk will be added to the growing list of Ford Models’ elite supermodels. The Ford Models which was created in 1947 by the dynamic tandem of fashion industry stalwarts Eileen and Jerry Ford. Ford models successfully staged the exhausting 2009 Ford Supermodel Finals held in Brazil with flair and excitement. After a hectic week of photo taking, rehearsals in ramping, interviews provided by the media people and rigid judging the seven new supermodels was finally determined after culling more than 100,000 online applicants from 40 different countries worldwide.
Karlina of Latvia outperformed them all bagging the elusive first place finish, Philippines’ bet Charlene took the first runner-up honors, and Isabelle went home with second runner-up plum. Models in this prestigious modelling search are known here by their first names)
Rounding out the winners were: American Olivia third runner-up, Belarusian Maryna fourth runner-up, Australian Grace fifth runner-up and Brazilian Bruna sixth runner-up.
Standing tall at 5 feet 9 inches, the truly gorgeous and elegant 16 year old Charlene Louise Almarvez is from Sta. Cruz Laguna and a Business Administration student of De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde.
She took home a whopping $150,000 worth of modellingcontracts from Ford Models Inc. Charlene also grace the cover of the Womens Journal January 15 issue.
