Planning Well – As a webmaster you must be concise and clear with your objectives and you know what your site can offer to the internet users. Be honest about the value of information you are sharing. Games, contests, blogs, video clips, informative and useful articles, animations, images and multimedia are the most common ways of adding value to your site.

3. Setting the Platform – Now after you know your potential audience and you know what to tell them. Try to make some goalsetting. If your goal is to bombard users necessary information for their needs at school, then you need to come up with useful articles that are filled with a lot of information so as to speak. Decides well about your the concept or metaphors your site will be anchored on. Here are some of successful metaphors that produced successful results already.
- A catalog or brochure
- A newsletter
- A storefron or mall
- A Lecture or presentation
- An experiment
- A TV commercial
- An annual report
- A slideshow

4. Doing the Site Schematic – There are two major ways id designing a site, one is the hierarchal, top-down stle, and a less structured “web”. The top-down stule is the common for its design and maintenance are easier to accomplish. In top-down style you need not make all of your works stands out and at the same time the content of your site are accessible to all users.
