Latest Pre-election Survey on the Presidential Election


With just five months before the election, Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III continued to hold a huge lead over his presidential rivals according to pollster Pulse Asia. The Liberal Party standard bearer collected 45% of the respondents in the nationwide pre-elections survey conducted by Pulse Asia. Nacionalista Party bet and real estate tycoon, Manny Villar Jr., cornered 23%. Ousted former Philippine President Joseph "Erap" Estrada of the Partidong Masang Pilipino (PMP) checked in third by netting 19% of the votes made by the respondents.


The Administration candidate, Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro of Lakas-Kampi CMD got 5% of the survey, whilst Sen. Richard "Dick" Gordon and evangelist Brother Eddie Villanueva took one percent each.
Aquino is lording over in Visayas. Other development in the latest Pulse Asia survey will reveal the former Phiippine President Joseph Estrada improved by leap and bounds as its previous 11% rating took a 8% percent increase to 19% percent.
In the race for Vice Presidential race, Senators Manuel "Mar" Roxas and Loren Legarda are tied for first and second with 40% a piece. Binay checked in third with 14%.
In th Senatorial, Jinggoy Estrada, the son of former President Joseph Estrada ranks first with 55.1%, followed by Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revila Jr. (52.7) and Sen. Meriam defensor Santiago (51.47%). Rounding up the list were former Senate President Franklin Drilon (45.4%), Sen. Pia Cayetano (43.1%), former National Economic and Development Authority Director Ralph Recto (43.1%), Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile (42.7%), formers Senators Sergio Osmeña and Vicente Sotto (tied at 40.2%), Rep. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos of Ilocos Norte (31%), Rep. Teofisto Guingona III of Bukidnon, Jose "Joey" de Venecia III (24.3%), Sen. Manuel "Lito" Lapid (23.1%) and Rep. Rozzuno Rufino "Biazon of Muntinlupa (22.9).
The latest Pulse Asia survey was initiated from December 8 to 10, utilizing face-to-face interview with 1800 representative adults, aged 18 years old and above.
The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 2% at the national level.
