Chameleons :: Peculiar Animals and Great Lovers Too

Perhaps one of the most interesting animals in the face of the planet is the vaunted chameleon, which is commonly found in the island nation Madagascar in the African continent. Consummate hunters in the wild these fascinating animals are not only master in camouflage but also a fierce predator as well.

The chameleons can blend well with their environment by their ability to shift colors from time to time to enable them to foil enemy radar as well as keeping their potential victims, which will end up as a yummy meal off guard. They have a unique feet that is well suited to climbing trees.

Endowed with eyes that can revolve 360 degrees they have a sight that can make them see unsuspecting insects with relative ease and once the target is locked in expect them to shoot their elongated sticky tongue to capture the prey that will end up as a hearty and truly yummy meal.  These reptilian predators are truly a great hunter in the wild but mind you they can be great lovers as well, which is indeed very surprising.

The Namacua Chameleons are perhaps the finest lovers not only in the reptilian world but in the animal kingdom, as well. Although they are built to climbing trees to capture their prey they can be resilient and persevering as well. They can withstand the rigors of traveling miles and miles of distance just to see their potential mate. The travel can be treacherous and taxing since the route offers great challenge – extensive heat that is and the setting is the desert, which can be very punishing. A chameleon male or female will endure desert heat just to see their partner. Since the travel can be very exhaustive expect these wonderful animals to rest in a shade. And guess what? They will stay stand still and wait to whip out an ambush of sorts that will certainly capture an insect to relinquish their hunger amid the intense heat of the sun by slowly devouring their victim with zest. Once the hunger is relieved expect them to continue with quest on finding their mate.

Whoa, once the chameleon partners will see each other in the desert, you will never believe what will happen next. The male chameleon will beat her female counterpart by unleashing some intense pounding, no not to punish her, but just to make sure that his lover will love her too and will not run away. In a harsh environment like in the desert, it is indeed difficult to find a mate and the male knew this well, and to quench his hunger for love and to have an assurance that such rare chance will not vanish in thin air, he can dish out some ritual first, which is subduing the female first to show his immense and unwavering love, nyahahahaha. And once the female girl gives in to the advancement made by her lover boy chameleon, expect that the female will carry the new generation of their kinds.
