The Presidential bets in the 2010 Philippine Elections for the position of the President and Vice Presidential are indeed waxing hot on their respective campaign trail. Let us take a glimpse of who is taking full advantage of having the most fans in one of the world’s most prominent website in the world, that is the Facebook (Note: this is based on the fans of the different bets in the Presidential and Vice Presidential positions in the coming May elections in Facebook, and in no way connected to any surveys conducted in the country):

Hi!
The official fan page of presidential candidate Nicanor ‘Nick’ Perlas is at “http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nicanor-Perlas/97103351511″ , now with 3403 fans (and growing every hour). I think you saw the group page.
Re the numbers game, Nick, and the rest of us New Politics volunteers, always draw inspiration from what Margaret Mead said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

Noynoy is not ready to take charge of the country. Manny is nothing but the traditional politician — that we do not need. Gibo is the Man! A Capable Leader with a Heart that Beats for the Nation!

Noynoy most likely will just become a lame duck president! Who will take advantage then:

Lagay nyo rin date of creation ng mga fan page. Noynoy’s page was created sept 3, others like Gibo as early as May, while Gordon’s fan page was just created last December 30. Factor din yung date of creation sa number of fans.

i agree with green and mark.. haha..
minsan hindi rin masyadong reliable ang online surveys kasi you can always have them all in your page naman..

Ang dami nga nilang fans pero yung mga comments at likings sa mga pinopost nila halos 200+ lang.
Saw several profiles sa kanila pawang mga profile lang na I think ginawa lang para makadagdag bilang sa kanilang fan page.

I’m one of those who do not see us as a nation of credulous, hopeless fools anymore. We’re slowly emerging from our myopic comfy cocoons towards a larger view of the countrysides where our brethren are languishing in misery as a result of lack of concern from our leaders, as a result of widespread unfairness. Even if one wants to help out the best he can, if his hands are tied and his powers are limited, then he cannot do anything from the sheer gravity of our problems.

Gibo’s heart beats for the nation?? c’mon! anong track record nya para masabi mo talaga na his heart beats for the nation?
nakulong ba sya sa pakikipaglaban para sa hustisya nung martial law?
naging student activist ba sya?
na-try na ba nya matulog sa lansangan kasama ng mga nag-iistrike sa factory?
pano ngyari na his heart beats for the nation? :/
